Research and Development

In the R&D laboratory, we develop plating film, and metal surface reforming by laser light.
We also conduct research and process prototype by request from customers.

Surface treatment to difficult materials

We are working on surface treatment to difficult materials such as plastics, glasses, pottery, ceramics and carbon which are usually difficult to apply surface treatment.

We will do research, prototyping, and proposal by applying various surface treatments.

Nitriding and its applications

We are carrying out plasma nitriding treatment which can correspond to the widest material among nitriding treatment, and we also perform nitriding + plating treatment as an application. In addition, the development staff will propose surface treatment according to the function such as PVD / CVD coating.

Nanomer Coating

Nanomer Coating has excellent water repellency, oil repellency, non-stickiness, and antifouling property. This coating can be used in many various fields because of characteristic of transparency of the film.

 
Nitriding and its applications

Our nitriding method: Plasma Nitriding
 
Nitrogen gas is made into a highly active ionic state in a vacuum furnace by plasma, the fourth substance following solid, liquid, and gas , to diffuse and penetrate the surface of steel products.
Thereby it form a strong nitrogen compound layer and diffusion layer.

Pollution-free treatment It is a pollution-free nitriding method that does not require pollution countermeasures such as waste gas treatment because it is not based on chemical reaction but nitriding with ionized nitrogen gas.
Compound layer and diffusion layer A high-hardness nitrogen compound layer on the outermost surface and a nitrogen diffusion layer with a gentle hardness gradient dramatically improved wear resistance and fatigue resistance.
In particular, alloy steels containing Cr, Al, Ti, Mo etc. which have a strong affinity for nitrogen harden to around Hv1100 in surface hardness.

Reducing processing time By the sputtering effect of ionized gas, processing time can be shortened comparing to conventional gas nitriding etc.
Low temperature treatment Due to the treatment in vacuum, there is no oxidation of the product, and the reduction of the surface roughness is also small.
Also, due to the treatment at around 500°C - below the A1 transformation point, the amount of distortion is extremely small and no post-processing is required.
Corrosion resistance Iron-based materials excluding SUS are improved in corrosion resistance by the nitride layer on the surface.
Advanced

At our company, it is possible to perform plating after nitriding treatment.
• Chrome plating after nitriding treatment in order to improve slipperiness and durability,
• Plating on top of nitriding treatment in case of nitriding does not match the production condition. (Nitriding layer is difficult to strip)
We will answer such various needs.

Nanomer Coating

Nanomer Coating has excellent water repellency, oil repellency, non-stickiness, and antifouling property. This coating can be used in many various fields because of characteristic of transparency of the film.

Film Properties
  • Surface free energy – it is comparable to fluorinated polymer: 18-20mN/ m²
    Water repellency, oil repellency, non-tackiness, and antifouling property
  • Excellent corrosion resistance to acids and alkalis
  • Excellent adhesion to metal, glass, ceramic, and plastic
  • Ideal for items that do not want to change the material color because of transparent film
Abrasion resistance
Film forming method is close to painting method unlike plating method, PVD method and CVD method.
The base materials that can be processed are :
• metals such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum,
• glass, bricks, and etc.
In case of resins has sensitiveness to heat, film formation at room temperature is possible by using UV curing for sintering.

Cleaning of base metal We degrease the surface of the product and remove oxide film.
Coating solution application Apply a sol-gel solution on the product surface. In general, coating methods are spray type, dipping type, spin coating, brush coating, and screen printing.

Spray the product surface with a spray gun.
Sintering treatment After preliminary drying, firing is performed in an electric furnace at around 200°C for 1~2 hours, so that the coating solution is sintered to form a film.
Use

Shower room antifouling coat on walls and mirrors

Utilizing transparency and antifouling property, we can prevent graffiti coats on public objects such as house walls, railroads, subways, and buildings After coating the left side wall with nanomer, red paint was applied on the whole surface The nanomer coating part is repelling the red paint.
